... to the home page for the 16th Hemoglobin Switching Conference.  As George apprised you all in January, the venue for the conference has changed once again.  The 2008 conference has come back to the US, and will be held in the beautiful surroundings of the Monterrey seashore at the Asilomar Conference Center.  For those of you who have not visited Asilomar before, you are in for a treat.  For those of you who have previously visited here, we anticipate that the gorgeous California coastline as well as the friendly, casual atmosphere, the proximity to distractions in nearby Monterrey and Carmel, and the most current topics in a variety of fields related to globin gene regulation and pathophysiology will contribute to an ease of scientific exchange and dialog that will make the 16th conference memorable for all us.

From this home page, you will be able to transfer to web sites describing the Asilomar Conference Center in detail and from which you can also submit your registration. Your completed registration will be automatically acknowledged by email, and any missing information will be requested.

• Registration and payment for accommodations must be completed by August 15, 2008.
• Cancellations (for full refund) must be completed by September 1, 2008.
• Deadline for sending in abstracts is September 1st, 2008.

All abstracts (mandatory for all participants) must be received by September 1st as email attachments to hbsw08@umich.edu.  We will also occasionally post general meeting information on this home page, so please check back periodically.
